It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

So the announcements for Round 3 of #Chernobyl-Curs just went up. It was a very tough match and a very close call, but in the end, I somehow pulled out a victory. Dear god was that a close call. My amazing opponent-of-former ~DivRot had such an awesome round, and I enjoyed Lucy so much. I'm really sad that we can't both move on, I really wanted to see more from Thais. Comrade Thais, rest knowing that at least we made the judges argue and bicker over our judgment! We gave them great pains and headaches my friend, and in their suffering take solace!

My next opponent is the lovely *amurderofcrowws who's opponent was kind of a jerk and removed herself from the group and chose not to finish her round. I will make it up to you, opponent-of-new, by making this round as awesome as I can! I will not let you down!

And finally, what you're all probably here for. This weeks review.
