Actually there's not much to talk about for life. I lied. I'm sorry.
But as for the comic reviews, the person who volunteered to be reviewed has presumably backed out because they never responded to my note. The other person didn't want to go first. Do I frighten people this much? I am simultaneously proud and frustrated. So I used that amalgamation of emotions to write an article
about animal comics, or more specifically, something that I notice. Until someone stops being a pansy and volunteers to be reviewed, I'll just keep writing articles instead.
"So you're making your comic, and you find that your next page has lots and lots of words. Words aren't any fun though because there's no action, right? You want to press through these pages as quick as you can, and since it's just talking there's no point in drawing the whole body. Just draw the head and slap on the text.
Or maybe all of your pages are like this.
I present to you the dilemma of the Talking Head Panels. Or, Why Your Comic Makes Me Cringe (part 1). If you're reading this you are presumably a writer or reader of animal comics. And if you've done your research (you probably haven't. Maybe you have. But you probably haven't. Just sayin') you know how much animals use body language to communicate. So slapping words onto a page with talking heads is not acceptable."Want to read the rest? I've decided to post these on Blogspot so as not to clutter my deviantArt page with them. Feel free to check it out here:
[link] . Pass it around, throat at faces, I don't care. I'd like to find people with comics who will let me review them so go ahead.
Also commissions. I've changed my system and went to set prices, and won't be accepting points anymore. Trust me, they're still more or less as cheap as can be. The reason? As you know, I am a poor college student. This semester, along with other costs such as pricey apartment rent, tuition, food, electric, etc etc, I also have two upcoming tests, each of which in the price range of 200$. These are for my teacher certification. Between CC, CM, and school, I could no longer justify doing art for others using a worthless currency that, even in translation, only came out to a few pennies. If no one commissions me, awesome, I have time to get stuff done. If people do commission me, awesome still because I get to do more artwork and actually gain something from it. It's win-win. I may occasionally open slots for point commissions but these will probably just be sketches anyway. Right now, my plate is full.
So that is that. Also, I have this cool new journal skin. And if you're in CC, get you cuss in gear. Deadline is less than 3 weeks away, you pansies.
That was some awesome writing. I definitely learned a lot. Where's the second part!? *cleaver'd*
Now where's my small fry?

It only has one page up so there is not much to review at the moment.
If you are still willing once I have more pages up, I'll send you a link to it.
