Yay sodium!
November is National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo), and I can actually participate this year! Last year I was working on CA and this year I
Anyone else want to join me in this 50,000 word endeavor = D? The idea of this isn't so much quality as it is quantity. A lot of writers struggle too much on the little details, making everything perfect; so much so they never make progress. So the objective here is solely progress; being able to finish, going the long distance, and so forth. It's certainly not for the undedicated, but it's worth a try. To put 50,000 words into perspective, that's about 200 standard book print pages. In a month. And to make it better, November 30th, the final day, is my Birthday. Cuss yeah.
More info on that here: [link] If you end up joining the forum (lot of interesting stuff there, go ahead and join) my username is Songdog. Tell me your user and I'll add you as my 'Writing Buddy'.
And now for more! Actually I didn't have much more. But I will because otherwise the title would be a lie.
Challenge for commenters/watchers: Post a list of your obsessions in writing or drawing (for example, if you have a habit of always including a random crow in your writing, add that to the list) Was a fun exercise we did in class awhile back. Just for fun and self introspection

All right, I'm starting. Here I go.
...if I fail to finish, as I'm sure I will, no harm is done.
I overshot my quota for the day ^^ These next couple days are gonna kill me though.
I've got such great ideas, and even if they don't entirely fit with each other I think I'm going to write one big conglomeration of stuff. In the leastm it will be useful for my ideas.
Good for you! Haha, I just wrote 1700 words for today, but I'll probably be super busy these next days too. I'll really have to focus on it on the weekends.
Together we shall conquer November!
Onward!!!
I WILL TRY MY BEST.
I have noticed a few big obsessions I include. I probably have a lot of smaller ones but have yet to notice them:
1.) I pretty much always include in all my stories, written or comic, one extremely girly/preppy/whore-ish girl character.
2.) At one point in time, I used to have every story's main characters be a female and male, the female was the main character and the male the second, all of which they end up together at the end. Re-writes of those stories ended with only a couple actually ending in some sort of coupling, mostly because I don't like romance much anymore and it started appearing like some obnoxious story template.
3.) The majority of my stories involve a moderately large cast of characters that are friends with the main character. This was originally due to the fact I used to make a character for each of my friends (note this was back when I did writing without much plot planning). So each story has at least 4+ side characters accompanying the main character, a couple of which have 6 or 8 or more.
Clan of the NaNoWriMo welcomes you!
Yaaaaay! *nom*
